Oh the quests

21.08.2008

Well, here I am again. Nothing overly spectacular happened the past few days.

I actually did manage to get into a random exp group in Dulak’s Harbour (when it was still a hot zone), I know, it’s weird … actual random exp groups these days. And just so you people don’t call me crazy .. I got proof!

I got two levels rather easily.

I also managed to group up with some guildies, since I’m more and more getting into their level range now and gained a few levels there as well, getting me up to lvl 53 by now! Wohoo!

So, at level 53 I did decide to start a particular quest, which I’m sure a lot of you remember, but most would concider obsolete and worthless these days. You remember this guy?

That’s right, the druid epic 1.0. I did manage to get the first couple of spawn camps rather quickly. But then it happened. A friend of mine and myself actually failed at the Corrupted dark elf event in East Karana. Now, before you start bashing us for lack of skill, I have to admit it was rather my fault. Aggroing a high level warrior epic 1.5 raid mob on the way to get spawn location, when you’re only there with one person, doesn’t really help much. 😛

So I had to start the epic all over, but that wasn’t such a big deal. I got lucky on the previous spawns again and went on my merry way to complete additional tasks required for my leave blower. A couple of more kills later, including this little bugger,

and I’m almost half way through my epic quest! A rather annoying camp, that is still coming up is for my Jade Reaver in City of Mist. *shudder* Oh god, please let one drop soon. They sell for way too much in the bazaar.

So that’s it for now. I do hope you enjoy reading my stories. If there is something that bugs you or that you particularily like, please leave a comment. 🙂

Regards,

Michael

Tradeskills

15.08.2008

Well,

unfortunately I wasn’t able to play very much today due to my work schedule, but I did manage to get in about an hour and a half this morning. Since I didn’t feel like exp’ing in the short amount of time that I had available I decided to do some tradeskilling. Baking, to be more precise. I just love baking, cooking my enemies into a nice yummy stew, delicious!

I went to Natimbi, The Broken Shores to do some fishing and get myself some tuna, some crabs, and some cragbeast meat. Quite a nice way to up that fishing skill while you’re at it.

After reeling in about 30 lbs. of various meat I walked over to the Abysmal Sea to start my tradeskilling adventure. I already had a my baking skill at 131 and after looking through EQ Traders I decided to go with the beer-braised meats. Those recipes involve quite a few sub-combines, but I managed and was able to increase my baking skill to 154. Not too bad for just an hour work.

That’s about all I did for today in Norrath. Let’s see, I should be able to get some more game-time in tomorrow. Fingers crossed!

Deja Vu

14.08.2008

Good evening folks,

so … what shall I say? I’m back at playing EverQuest! The addiction finally won, again.

I started a new character on the Antonius Bayle server, that’s the European server for all you folks, who don’t know. His name is Tillarus, he is currently a level 49 druid and fighting his way through the current hot zones. Also recently joined a new guild.

Did quite a bit today due to the fact that I had to work late. I initally grouped up in Dulak’s Harbour and managed to get through lvl 47 and half way through lvl 48. The remaining 50% were acquired through soloing the Stormwave ship (or whatever it’s called) in Dulak.

I also managed to complete my Apprentice Bakers Trophy. It’s a quest, which starts in the newbie area in Freeport and results in an evolving tradeskill trophy. There is a trophy for each tradeskill and each trophy evolves with you as you gain skill points in that particular tradeskill. The trophy itself can summon a backpack, which is quite nice considering it can hold GIANT items and has a 40% weight reduction on it.

Other minor things I did today included farming tradeskill items.

Should anyone read this by chance and would like to group up, feel free to write me in-game! Looking forward to it. 🙂

Michael

Well,

seems like time went by really fast and there really haven’t been any EverQuest updates. Why? To be honest I’m only sporadically playing EverQuest now. Work and my girlfriend are keeping me really busy!

I did begin to play EVE Online though. It’s a bit of a different approach to your average MMORPG. The thing I particularily love about it is the fact, that your skills train even while you are offline! There is no grind like in other online games. 🙂 Truely awesome!

So if anyone actually reads this and feels like checking out the game, visit http://www.eve-online.com or contact me in-game under the name of Tillarus.

Have fun all!

Michael
